Wincing in agony, years of ridicule behind his grating teeth, Tie McPherson raises a shaking hand to his head. He can feel the sweet relief of cold steel kissing his temple as he curses those who brought him to this point. The holiday parties, the crazy-tie days, the years of waiting in the depths of the closet with each day a struggle to find a meaning. He whispers "I'm sorry" through saliva and clenched teeth as his fingers make his final decision.
